Just a big reminder that there is a crucial meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) evening with the relevant county councillors over public service cuts. It is crucial that as many people as possible supporting the Campaign to Save Braunton Library are able to go along. It is at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall.
In particular we will be presenting our formal submission to Councillor Croad (in charge of libraries) calling for the Council to reclassify Braunton Library within the consultation from a ‘smaller and less-well used’ library to a ‘medium to large’ one reflecting its true status and enabling us to engage in a full consultation about its future. You can see an article about this submission for this week’s North Devon Gazette here.
In the meantime, please continue to spread the word. You can find a summary of key points of the campaign here. A copy of the poster can be downloaded and printed off here. Above all, please encourage as many people as possible to fill out the consultation questionnaire.
